if you are working as something related to your field of study you'd reply YES to those questions and be automatically placed in the IES draw. If you studied Science for example and is working as a Information Systems Specialists, then you'd answer no. And yes, points don't matter in the IES...

I am under the same stream. Points don't matter for us. Once you respond "yes" to those 3 questions, you're automatically put in the international student stream. Next time there is a draw and international students are chosen, you'll get a LAA. I received mine within 1 or 2 weeks.

if you're applying under the IES, once you respond yes to those 3 questions, you're automatically put in the IES draw and your points don't matter (I applied under the same stream). Your NOC will show as 00000 which is normal as well.

Application submitted: July 6 Biometrics Collection Letter: Oct 16 Biometrics given on Oct 17 Correspondence Letter: November 15 Hoping for the approval letter tomorrow.

Congrats! That's pretty fast. Applied July 6th, Biometrics request Aug 31st, submitted 5 minutes later and haven't heard back. Hopefully soon!
