I don't know... eligibility received on Sep 2023, security assessment started right after that. Background checks switched to Not Applicable around Oct 2025. Like I said, it's very confusing and looks like they dont have a good system, for all I know the application might be finished but it's...- jinbar

I contacted local MP and he pulled the notes - he said we are in extensive security assessment (I think that's A34). Not applicable as far as I understood happened after criminality check expired due to application taking too long ! It's very confusing but this is what I understood.- jinbar

last I checked it started Dec 2023 , the process is ridiculous, especially after being accepted as a refugee. If they consider someone a security threat, keeping them in limbo inside the borders for years, doesn't that give them more chances to execute the threat they identified, which defeats...- jinbar

I'm at my wits end and exhausted ... as explained in past replies, our application is in process since Feb 2022, background checks since Oct 2023. This prolonged background check process defies any meaningful logic. It's hard not to feel like we are simply being discriminated against.- jinbar

short listed countries (I call them cursed countries) if you are originally from those countries (e.g. syria, iraq, iran) you will be subjected to comprehensive security assessment which can take several years to complete. It is a ridiculous process - even if you are already in Canada for...- jinbar

It's not just QC , even anywhere in Canada, If you are from a cursed country they will make you suffer and treat you as a short listed person despite you ran away from persecution and being a minority !- jinbar
