2 weeks to show up is too late. At least BLS site should show your data. For OCI site, it may take time.

Please read the Checklist/guidelines carefully. In the final page Signature box, only Kids thumb impression be there. And in the section below that both parents need to sign.

Its about time...you can expect it soon. Do you see a reference number in the nxt line of your BLS status ? Thats usually your purolator pin for tracking

By the time lines, you should see an update in the next 2 weeks.

Yes, thats normal. Please check the status in the OCI website. 2 weeks after the BLS - Processing at Consulate status, you will see an acknowledgment. And then 3-4 weeks from there for the processing complete status. (This is almost the case for Brampton Postal apps)

Thats right. Passport Number is of your Canadian Passport. And the File ref is the Application number (CANXXXXX)

people who have been there says, if you be there by 6-7, you can come out before 9.

If you are not in a hurry..then relax. You can aply for OCI later. Visa will be useful for good 6 months , right

That acknowledgement is what you get to see in the OCI Status check webpage. And not any email. You can check that in "https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury" Usually that comes up 3 weeks after you submit the application.
