I have just called IRCC. The agent hung me on for about 15 minutes to check the status of my passport (TRV application). She hasn't confirmed that they received the passport. But she said that if the tracking of the parcel mentions that we've received it, then I shouldn't be worried, and they...

Did you ask them what to do in this case?

My application is TRV for a study permit. The application was submitted from within Canada.
