Received my card today, was mailed from Case Processing Centre-PRC, Sydney, Nova Scotia.

It means they started processing your PR Card application. In most cases you'll get another update saying your card is "approved & mailed" in about 10 days from getting the GU1.

In my case, I didn’t receive any email notification for GU, but after few days when I got another update saying the Card is approved & mailed…I received the email notification after few hours!

I’ll let you know once I’ve the card in my hand, probably tomorrow!

No specific timeline as far as I know, I also read my 1st email and pdf again for clarification but I can't see any timeline info! But if you respond sooner, the sooner the person in Canada gets their portal credentials email!

GU (Ghost Update) is an update on your application on CIC account. When you log in to your account the application shows "updated" but when you click on the status then there's no further information available from already existing status & when you go back, the status goes back to displaying...

If your PR Card application is linked to your CIC account, then you can check for updates there!

Is there a Pdf attached to your 1st portal email, its says in the bottom about your VO (example: Etobicoke) in the signature, also in the subject line of the email as well!

Yes, I uploaded the same photo and it is also less than 6 months old and they approved my PR Card today!

My friend had the same issue and he wouldn't be able to link it, also on PR confirmation portal, my address changed to accepted & his shows under review too!

you can only link your PR card application on your CIC account if your PR application is showing approved!
