    A person I know received pr card in 2 weeks. He had his timeline very similar as mine. I paused my p1 at June 22th (because I'm traveling outside country this month) after that, he Recieved his P2, ecopr and finally the pr card yesterday.

    With the PR card, you don't need a visa to enter Mexico, and the allowed stay for some nationalities is actually longer. It also increases your chances of getting a visa approved elsewhere. Without it, there's a higher risk of being denied boarding back to Canada—which happened to me in Mexico...

    AI answer? Mexico NEEDS a visa for visitors without PR. ($81 cad) And my issue to return Canada happened exactly IN MEXICO, because I had no pr card. I was denied boarding for more than an hour before some other employee intervened and contact some upper management.
