Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

My SO had the PPR email on Nov 8. He sent his prepaid envelope and documents on Nov. 11. On Nov. 23, we got an email from GCKey saying there was an update to the file. We looked, and the timeline now says: "We're done processing your application." Under final decision, it says: November 22...

Hi everyone, wondering, when you got the automated email saying ready for visa, did GCKey get updated? My SO's GCkey still says they are doing the background check, but he got the automated email this morning, saying ready for visa. We checked, and his ECAS says "Decision made", but when we...

I understand but that doesn't make sense what is the difference between Jan 2020 and Feb 2020? In principle if it's a yearly quota, then the fact that we did not receive it in January 2020 means we will not receive it in all of 2020.... We've been waiting since 2018 so...

Quick question ShannonT, once they received your medicals, did you notice any change in the timeline? In my case, they increased the timeline by yet another month after receipt of the medicals..... now it says Feb 2020. I am wondering if this was automated or related to the medicals... Medicals...

Anyone know how long it usually takes after medical results have been received, to get an update ? Been waiting 2 weeks now since they received it, and nothing yet. I know some people received an update within a week. Is this normal not to receive anything for 2 weeks?

Nothing you can do. My SO (inland applicant) received his medical request in his 17th month. So it's not unusual - par for the course really.... unfortunately.

SO passed his medicals!!! they updated his file on ECAS/GCKey that he passed them / they received the results. But they just added one more month to his processing timeline... sigh!!! Says Feb 2020 now when a few days ago it was Jan 2020. In process since March 2018. Makes it 23 months.

Hm, thanks for that info. Is it normal that the GCkey shows that eligibility is still under review?

My SO has a similar timeline but we haven't requested his GCMS so we don't know what's passed and what isn't. He still hasn't received request for medical. Application received: 2 March 2018 AOR: 28 March 2018 Pre-arrival email: May 10, 2019 (first sign of life since AOR!!!) 19 months so far.

Yes, I remember that during my landing the agent asked me how much I had to support myself, I told her I had $10,000 but that it was not in cash, it was in my bank account since I was an inland applicant. She had me write it down on the landing paper.

Quick question about this - I don't remember it but I did declare I had $10,000. But now that my partner has to go through this (hopefully soon) I am wondering : what if someone doesn't have that kind of money set aside ? (an inland applicant, who has a job, and already pays rent here, for...
