Question about 5 Year Eligibility Period (Out of status before PR)
Didn't you just answer it in the question? "have you had a valid status before becoming PR? I was out of status before I received my PR" If you are out of status that = NOT VALID- Flyingfast

Do I need a police certificate
My wife is eligible for citizenship in February 2026. She landed in Canada 3 years ago as a PR. She has not lived anywhere else. Does she still need a new police certificate? I asked because she submitted one with the PR application and then came strait to Canada without leaving in the past 3...- Flyingfast

Is this a spousal sponsorship application for PR? If so choose yes and include a letter of explanation with the application. If unsure thats the best thing to do. Then you can't be accused of misrepresentation if you didn't answer correctly.- Flyingfast
