    2015 April-Outland spousal application

Today received an email from the Visa office of Paris mentioning the following to me: "Dear Applicant, We have the pleasure to inform you that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been processed and already finalized. Your “Confirmation Of Permanent Residence (CoPR)” has...

@rs33, I actually just got another email today: Dear Applicant, We have the pleasure to inform you that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been processed and already finalized. Your “Confirmation Of Permanent Residence (CoPR)” has been printed and forwarded to your...

Actually, it might not surprise me that they don't ask for my passport though, as Belgium as more of a VISA exempt country in that regard. I'll keep everybody updated in any case.

Good news from my side as well, my status was updated this morning from "In Process" to "Decision Made" on ecas (both for my wife and for me). However, when I click on it, it only says: We received your application for permanent residence on April 7, 2015. We started processing your...

    2015 April-Outland spousal application

Ah....well....that makes sense (good morning to everybody by the way) On another side note, just saw "Decision Made" both under my file number as well as my wife's! (I applied under Visa Office of Paris). :) However, when I click on it, it says: 1. We received your application for permanent...

@Canadian in love, weird that you have to go to Spain for the interview, under what Visa office did you submit your application? And is the interview in the Canadian embassy in Spain? As normally the visa office for Spanish applicants (like Belgium, Portugal and a few others) is in Paris, France.

nope, nada, nopes. In other words, nothing happened. I've had no request for information (maybe I'll never get one cause I'm a VISA exempt country?). It's the waiting game folks, but good news is that Sa3Sa3 should be first to go, in which most of us should follow soon after.

If I send an enquiry to Paris with the request if they could process my application faster as my work permit will expire in a few days, do you guys think that will have an effect?

@BillyTheKid, Thanks for sharing this! However this is both good and bad news as it would seem it should take about 1,5 months from "In Process" to "Decision Made". This will unfortunately mean for me that it will take longer to get my PPR as my status only changed around August 21st and my...

Hopefully you'll get an answer before you even receive the notes, that would be better. I send my application to change my status to tourist yesterday trough express post. Hopefully everything will turn ok.

They sure are taking their time with the applications. I mean, there are less files to take care of for the Visa Office of Paris than those that Ottawa needs to do for our sponsors. I mean, as soon as they process the sponsor application, it only takes two days to make a decision. How come it...

I had to wait for my CSQ too (took just a bit over a month!) and then I send it to Paris a copy of the document by email and thats when a couple of days later it went In Process Application started processing June 17th. Still kinda sucks paulum that you have send your application in two months...

Yeah, but how long has it been since Paulum has replied on this forum. We don't know but it might be that he/she has already received an answer. And sorry for the confusion, but I wonder what happens after you get a COPR in order for me to keep working? @Sa3Sa3, maybe you should ask for your...

I'll update that sheet later tonight is currently I am away from home, but seeing at the sheet Sa3Sa3 you should indeed be the next in line. However, looking at the amount of days it takes from SA to COPR, it could take a maximum of 120 days (4 months, if the person of 252 days is ignored...
