But if her 3 years are done, how do they decide if I owe for her son or not? What kind of things would I be responsible for if im done her 3 years?

Hi there, I sponsored my wife and her son to Canada. My wife's COPR document states the undertaking length is 3 years, but her son's (he is 7 years old) states it's for 10 years. What does this mean? Am I financially/legally responsible for them for 3 years or 10? Thanks

Thanks for the response. Yes, they pay a large portion of the rent but not all of it. Who should I contact in regards to this? IIRC? CRA? COHB themselves? Just want to double check so I won't be owing thousands next year or in the future.

My family is already in Canada...wife and son. We are on the COHB benefit which we will be receiving monthly. Are you confident it is not social assistance that will have to be repaid? The government is vague with what is considered welfare/social assistance. I'm very concerned.

Outland sponsorship. Her application was approved in June 2022. She is coming here with her COPR in March 2023 (one month from now). When will she receive her PR card? Does she need to do anything at airport when she lands?

His father wouldn't allow him to come when he was younger. Yes, he was listed on the application. In fact, he was accompanying but last minute decided he was going to stay with his father. This was many yrs ago.
