Can she use the COPR paperwork to travel? Because PR card will come after she's landed and as she's only here a week the card won't have arrived before she has to leave :/

We had the medical done first and had it submitted along with our application forms and payment... waiting for a request wastes time (imo).

Has anyone else noticed the application processing times have gone from 14 to 15 months for sponsorship outside the UK... Thumbs. Down.

We used an immigration lawyer as well... Just a heads up, in case they didn't tell you, don't link your Ecas to a MyCIC account as communication won't go directly to them first and they won't be able to accurately represent your application. That's what we were told when we asked about it :)...

You have to list all the items you're shipping... I'd be cautious with sending it under your name... It's a lot more complicated than sending belongings. There are FAQ pages on the spreadsheets I'd check out before sending anything - also checking out the container ship company FAQ as well. Good...

He can't actually move until he gets COPR but he can come as a visitor providing he can prove dual intent (that he's intending to leave at the end of his visitor stay and has enough ties to England) and, I believe, he is not allowed to move any belongings until COPR either.

London definitely isn't fast! Ottawa, at one point, was giving answers within 3 months (start to finish) for a while. London is averaging approx. 10-11 months right now... Estimated time according to CIC is 14 months so I shouldn't really grumble. It is frustrating though!

No movement from London either... Waiting with no update (since March when our file was transferred to London) is so frustrating!
