I sent our application in October and I got approved as a sponsor in December 2011. So does that mean they will request for my spouse's passport because we applied in October?

What exactly does that mean? I am sponsoring my spouse from japan.

I just heard from someone that starting December 2011, there will be no more need to send in passports. Meaning Immigration will just send the Visa to the applicant if/once they are finished. Is this true?

My application was received by CIC on October 6 and it says on the website they are processing ones received on October 6 right now. But CAS wont show my status. It says they don't recognize my account. Do I have to wait a little bit until I can track my status on the website or is something wrong?

Can my spouse come to Canada while in the process of application(have not received visa). If so, is it possible to receive the 'passport request letter' sent to the adress where my spouse will be residing in Canada? I have searched and called immigration but do not know where I'm supposed to...

I applied for spousal sponsorship at the first week of October and I was not employed at the time. Now I am employed so should I notify immigration? If so where and who do I send email/letter to? It says on the CIC website they are doing October now so is it too late?
