Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Yes, totally agree, everything should have an option to go to court. However the concerns you have mentioned applies more to third world countries where Govt. agency people abuse their power for own vested interest and motives. It is highly unlikely to happen in Canada (I hope) but yes I do...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Hi All, Ok, so we just returned from my wife's citizenship ceremony from Scarborough, which was held at 8:30 AM. It was a nicely organized event, this time the judge was a lady (in my case it was a gentleman), she delivered a good, deep speech. My wife actually sat next to someone who got his...

Well, first of all, I see this bill not passing in the parliament, at least until significant amendments as it in direct conflict with some of our major constitutional rights. Secondly, and someone else can confirm here, it may not apply to those who became Canadian BEFORE the bill became law...

Thanks Star200, my wife's ecas got updated now. For those who are worried about the lingering time on RQ, here is my own personal case: For me, the total time between my Application date and Oath date was 15 months 5 days and I did not get any RQ - it was a routine application in Scarborough...

Done :) You are absolutely right, its partially human error. Everyone has their own way of doing things. Enjoy life, and keep this issue in the back burner, one day you will get the letter.

Thanks QAI, you will get your Oath letter soon, I think the files are being addressed on a random basis from the file basket, and as such there is no first in fist out processing with them. I am confident the February guys will get the letter soon, there was an influx of Mississauga folks last...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Well, we missed couple of addresses (vacation ones - short stay), but the interviewer never asked any questions on these. my wife however, did account every single absence in her calculation - so I am guessing that should not be a big issue.

Does anyone here can clarify one thing, when submitting the actual citizenship application there is a section where you need to state all the addresses in the last 4 years, now, if someone is out of country for say a week or two for vacation does he/she need to state the address of that vacation...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

QAI, she quickly went through the DOCs, asked a few questions and said to my wife that everything looks ok, she will send it to Judge for review and should expect an Oath date in around 3 months. My wife then asked her if that meant she doesn't have to meet the judge, the lady said... well, I...

You guys can always ask for their Supervisor or Manager if you feel you are not dealt with professionally. Just because you applied for citizenship and asking for status of an already delayed process don't mean you will be treated like this. Make the supervisors learn about these.

Canadiandesi2006, Oh I fully understand their inability, I find no value contacting them, but in QAI's case, I found the information provided by his/her MP was a bit more interesting, beyond the usual and somewhat made sense - so was curious.

Hi QAI, Any update on your file? I really hope whatever your MP told you after their staff talked to the office is not 100% correct. After all, we are seeing some movements for February test takers (albeit sporadic)… my wife’s file is still with St. Clair and her test scores are not yet updated.
