As long as you apply before the expiration of your PNP, you will be fine - the PNP nomination has to be used before it expires. No need to worry since your application is under processing.

mine was an "update" status in MyCiC first but no email was sent to me about the change..and the next day I received the PPR email from CPO Ottawa

I'm also an inland CEC OINP. I ordered my GCMS on Dec 9. The document is generated on Dec 9, I received it exactly 30 days later. There has been no updates since a Program Assistant assessed my eligibility and typed a long note on Sept 24. I now have no access to the electronic case status tool...
