I've got the same email last Saturday. As I have a trip to my hometown at the end of this week and coming back in 2 weeks, I was planning to do my landing on my way back to Canada. Is it ok to ignore this email and just keep my original plan? Thank you

Should be fine to cross through the border by car just using your passport and COPR. The PR card is necessary for commercial lines. Maybe keep a copy of your COPR(although you need the original to cross the border), and if something happens, it will be easier to get in touch with Canadian...

I'd guess around 4th - 8th November. My timeline for passport was: 13th Sept - PPR 18th Sept - Passport reached Ottawa 16th October - CIC account has changed for application approved 17th October - Canada post tracker was activated 18th October - Passport has returned

I might've been an exception, but I'm a CEC inland and during my process, I was asked for proof of funds as additional documents. Although all sources are saying CEC doesn't require proof of funds. I sent it anyway and got my application approved.

[UPDATE] I've just checked my account and now is saying: "Final decision made / Your application was approved." Now, I'm gonna keep my eyes on Canada Post tracker to see when they will send my passport back. I let you guys know as soon as I have any update. Thanks everyone

I have PPR on 13th September, passport sent on 15th, Ottawa received on 18th. So far nothing has changed, even my CIC account messages haven't changed yet. I'll update here when I get any news about it. Cheers
