Hi folks - My OCI is printed and sent to Toronto CGI...Here is my timeline: Walk-in Submitted (Brampton): 20- APR, Acknowledgement: 25-APR Originals Received: 12-May Printing Status: 19-May Dispatched & Document Received (Toronto CGI): 19- May BLS staus is unchanged yet - so waiting game now...

Try walk-in on a weekday. Shorter lines after 11 am or so. I just had to wait for 5 mins outside to get my token.

Keep checking BLS site for status updates - Next status should be "In-transit from consulate to BLS etc.," and later status will be related to purolator pick-up and reference/tracking id etc.,....For me it took around 4 days to deliver after being printed - for some it is bit early and for some...

Folks finally received my SC today (submitted on 16th March) - received it around 11 AM. Submitted OCI application by around 12:40 :). Just went to Brampton BLS to check the line and how busy it will be - luckily there wasn't any queue for walkin. Thanks much folks for your suggestions and spl...

I was also sent back at Toronto BLS (walkin). I then tried at Brampton and it worked- this is for passport surrender. For OCI, lines are pretty long as Abbas Pasha mentioned.

Try weekday walk-ins may be after 10 AM or so. One of my neighbor reached around 10:30 AM (last week) and there were 3 folks ahead of him it seems. I was there on a Saturday at 9 AM (in March) and there was no line - so it's about your luck :) that day...

This is still crazy. Do you know if he continued in the line and was allowed to submit the app - if they allow 70 walk-ins, I will still have to try - pls lemme know

Anyone tried walk-in for OCI @ Brampton recently? Pls share your experience - I will not be able to get the surrender certificate before my scheduled OCI appointment - so walk-in is the only option for me now...lol

Interesting! Walk-in lines for Passport surrender were relatively short...there is a different office for passport and visa - I was in & out within 45 minutes (been there on a Saturday - March 18) - would suggest you to go again tomorrow and try...

You can do walkins for surrender certificate in Brampton, they are pretty quick.
