    What does that mean?

Study Permit not issued at airport.

Hey y'all, So I have my Letter of Introduction and my eTA (which permits me to enter Canada). I arrived and cleared customs and immigration without a problem but I wasn't issued a Study Permit at the port of entry. Now what do I do? Is it possible to go to a CIC office and have them do that? Or...

    Waiting for visa

it's officially been 2 whole months/8 weeks since I submitted my online app. STILL waiting Meds passed about 4 weeks ago. After that no updates. It seems CIC doesn't give a damn that school starts a little over 2 weeks from now.

how good is CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY ?

Settling permanently in Quebec after you complete your studies is relatively easy IF you can demonstrate/prove you are fluent (or at least at intermediate-advanced) in French ORALLY. Reason being Quebec's official language is French and not Bilingual. This process would take around 20 days. But...

Is medical required for TRV with work/study permit holders already in canada?

No you don't. Not if you hold a valid work/study permit and already in Canada.

Can anyone give me an Idea on how long online study permit application takes ?

I've been checking my CIC account like an obsessed crazy person. The waiting is torture. It's already taking longer than the standard 7 weeks that they say it takes them to process applications. Good luck to you.

    Visa refusal

Good luck with that! Just remember your financials are one the MAJOR things CIC looks at. 68,000 is better. If you've paid the tuition already include the receipt with your financial docs. If you're still uncertain get a family member to write and sign a declaration saying that they'll support...

Starting school at Concordia University in B.A. program this September. Applied for study permit on June 16 with upfront med. exam. Med exam "Passed" on July 17, still not news. CIC needs to step it up.

    Cheapest College/University for International Students

It really depends on the major/program you apply for, and the amount of credits and courses you plan to take on each semester. In general, universities in Quebec are among the cheapest in North America, while still being good (cheap doesn't equal bad, some of the world top ranking schools are...

    Visa refusal

In my case, my tuition for 2015-16 is around 12,000 CAD in total. We gave them a bank letter showing total savings of more than 90,000 CAD, more than adequate to cover first 3 months of rent, a year's living expenses, and sufficient funds for transportation back home if I decide to during summer.

Can anyone give me an Idea on how long online study permit application takes ?

I'm South Korean, but currently traveling. Regardless, I applied through South Korea. The thing is the visa application center in Seoul is being renovated or something so all applications from South Korea (along with Japan's) are sent to be processed in The Philippines, which I guess why it is...

    CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY- WINTER 2016

DO you know why? CIC should've sent you a letter explaining the reasons for your rejection.

    Visa refusal

Oops, I meant to type "40,000 CAD" not "USD". My mind still works in US dollars :P You would need to prove that you have enough funds in your account to cover your living expenses & housing for the year, and transportation back to your country etc. in addition to the annual tuition. Therefore...

How to defer Admission to next term for Meng Concordia University

I would suggest contacting your department ASAP and get the deferral done. As for the CAQ, you don't have to get a new one if you're only deferring to the next term (Winter 2016). HOWEVER, if you decide to defer further (like Fall 2016), then you would need to apply for a new CAQ with whatever...
