OHIP - how do you receive the cards?

Okay, let me clarify something before you accuse me of trying to commit insurance fraud. Between the time of that post and now I had already come back to Toronto in late November by myself. My wife is still in Asia so this has nothing to do with her pregnancy. I am just asking for my own...

OHIP - how do you receive the cards?

Sorry I am really not sure if I understand what you are referring to. Hypothetically, suppose someone lands in Toronto, becomes PR, decides to live in Ontario, but could not secure a permanent residence due to whatever reason (affordability, lack of credit history, etc.). Still, the person...

OHIP - how do you receive the cards?

Thanks again for all the details! It's very helpful. On the other hand, for people who need to frequently move from place to place but definitely will stay in the province of Ontario, and plans to stay here permanently, should they apply for OHIP, provided that they meet all of these criteria...

OHIP - how do you receive the cards?

Thanks for the reply! I had already landed. The problem I have is that I might need to switch from place to place for a couple of months. Just wondering how to get the OHIP card once I apply :)

OHIP - how do you receive the cards?

Hi all, just a simple question - after application how do we receive OHIP cards, on the spot of application or through mails to the address you provide? Thanks!

OHIP eligibility question - already landed PR returning to Canada

Big thanks! Totally understand the uncertainty of needs for medical attention during the three-month waiting period. Then I assume after establishing our residence we need to meet these residence requirements (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/short_absence.aspx) in order...

OHIP eligibility question - already landed PR returning to Canada

My wife and I landed in Toronto in late June 2018 and became PRs. We left Canada in early August 2018 back to Asia to prepare for our 'serious move'. Because we did not establish residency we did not apply for OHIP during that time. Now we are in Asia and just found out that my wife is...

Not a citizen of NL, Living outside NL, Need a NL PCC for Canada PR

Sorry I didn't mean to discourage you from asking specific questions :) I posted a link just to make sure that people are aware of these online instructions. For most countries, these instructions are the most accurate possible. Apologies if you are offended.

Work experience - Express Entry - 3 years

If you apply in June 2018 that will be fine but if you want to apply now (Feb 18) I don't think the IRCC system will recognize those three months of employment in future (March-May18). Without those three months you have only 34 months.

All Education history in E-APR or just ECA

Just jumping in here - the principle is that you won't get extra credit for listing any non-ECAed degrees under education history section. Meanwhile you MIGHT be penalized or questioned for listing a non-ECAed degree here without having an ECA report. Choose wisely.

Noc Help - Racking My Brains

Not sure if this is how it works. For NOC matching you normally go through NOC list first, find one job with R&R that match to your real job (regardless of the title), then have an experience letter with R&R descriptions close to but not identical to the ones listed under that NOC code. Do...

Not a citizen of NL, Living outside NL, Need a NL PCC for Canada PR

Strongly recommend anyone who wants to find out how to get PCC from country XZY read instructions in the link. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how.html This is the official guide by IRCC. Most instructions are...
