When ours arrived, we thought this was the case, but it turns out mine was in the same envelope as my minor child's. It was only addressed to the minor child.
Forgot to post update. Turns out both certificates were in the same envelope. It was confusing because the envelope was not addressed to the primary applicant, so we had initially assumed that they got separated.
Your mileage may vary. I've seen a lot of people here who got their oath dates for in the near future and most of them seem to be virtual. I was hoping for an in-person ceremony but I'm not going to hold off on finishing the citizenship process in order to wait for one. So, virtual it is.

You mean, did we meet the requirements to maintain PR? I've been in Canada since March of 2017 and with the exception of several week-long trips back to the U.S. (both of which were with my sponsor) and a day trip we've been in Canada the entire time.
My daughter and I received our PR cards today. We mailed our applications out on May 10th, I was able to link them on June 9th or so, and the cards arrived in the mail today. It said in the system that they were mailed out as of the 15th.
You can keep trying to link it and when the new application shows up in the system, it will pick up on it and allow you to link it. I was only able to see my older applications from our cards in 2017 when we landed until today, when I was finally able to link the new applications we sent for...
