Express entry application question- have you ever applied for PR before?

It shouldn’t have much material impact, but I think you can send a LOE through web form explaining why you answered yes to the question (just to clarify in case of any misunderstanding)

    Travel without PR Card

I will use this thread to share my recent travel experience as it’s a frequently asked question. I became a PR on Apr 18, but I still have a valid visa in my passport. I successfully got on the flight in October with the gate agent only checking the visa in my passport. This was with Air Canada...

They don’t officially require it but they ask for the number. Many people do include a scanned copy of it in their application but it’s not a hard requirement.

NOC 21322 [Metallurgical and Materials Engineers] without P.Eng - PR CEC Inquiry

Not from Canada is fine, I was trying to say at the end of the day duties and what you did at the job matter the most, educational background and P.Eng title matter less, because you are not required to demonstrate that you satisfy those requirements. So the best you can do is to make sure the...

Status after applying for pgwp in physical presence calculator

Hi, I am playing with the online physical presence calculator and I came up with a question: It asks me to fill in the time I spent in Canada as a temporary resident. Is P.ENG (PEO) license required for the Express entry engineer NOC?

It should be ok as employment requirements under NOC is NOT required for PR purposes. As long as you performed the duties decribed in 21311, you should be good. Having a computer engineering degree from your home country should make it a stronger case.

NOC 21322 [Metallurgical and Materials Engineers] without P.Eng - PR CEC Inquiry

Again for NOC determination, you should pay the most attention to the lead statement annnd the main duties. If you have performed most of the duties then you should choose 21322. As for the date, you should put down the date you became eligible to become a P.Eng, which would be the day you...

Is full-time contract employment counted as Canadian experience to apply for the PR.

Yes, work is work, for Canadian experience it doesn't matter what type of contract, part time or full time, or if it's continuous. Only thing to make sure is you are an employee not a subcontractor, i.e. you will be issued a T4, your company deducts your EI/CPP.
