Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

None of mine were. In fact most of them were just emails and not signed at all. They all had contact information of the person providing the confirmation of relationship. It isn't really a stat dec, it is more of a 'hey, we know these people, we have seen them together as a couple and we believe...

No. I wouldn't expect a decision until at least October. When a decision has been made they will tell you and it will say 'decision made'. To be honest, they probably haven't even opened your application yet in Sydney. You don't always get AOR. It is a long wait so just sit back and relax.

Sorry, just saw this now. You apply for PR and CR at the same time. Just send everything away in the same packet.

I have a silly question. I've tried Googling but I can't find anything about this. We have received the letter from Sydney asking for copies of my husband's passport. I sent them away but now I am second guessing myself as to the address I put for the return documents on the Appendix B sheet...

    Rehabilitation issues?

Nope. We were told that for family class it takes 2-4 weeks. It is done at the same times as our PR application so we won't know until we are proved or denied for that. Just doing a rehab application can take over a year.

    Rehabilitation issues?

Do not fret! I spoke to a lawyer and he said that since there was no misrepresentation it shouldn't be an issue. CIC can still deny a visa, but he said this probably won't be the reason they do.

    Rehabilitation issues?

My husband and I applied for his permanent residency in September. I have been approved as a sponsor and his application is now in process. We have had to apply for individual rehabilitation due to a DUI he had in 2003 (and a rather embarrassing public drunkenness charge in 2005). Here, though...

Unfortunately because she was there for 6 consecutive months she is required to obtain a police certificate. It is stated on the CIC website and on the immigration forms. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp One needn't have had a bank account and address, it...

Ottawa call centre number please ? Not 1800 but 613 no thanks

I've done the three-way call (I am in Australia, I called my mum in Ontario who then called CIC). Just an FYI, if anyone does do the three-way option, I have a few suggestions: 1. Whomever is making the call for you from Canada, have them put down the phone and walk away. They should not be on...
