Taking up a job or studying further in Canada after masters degree in India

This is just my opinion, I think in the current time it is best to get a job in your home country. Even students are now disallowed to Canada because of the pandemic. Several approved PRs are awaiting to land, but the borders are very strict unless you have an immediate relative in Canada...

    COPR and coronavirus

Same state with mine. Hoping this means some progress in the next coming days, especially since I got my COPR post mar 18 and is now expired. Fingers crossed.

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi - I am an expired COPR with visa issued post march 18. In my case, though I raised a ready to travel webform while my visa was valid, I got nothing but generic replies from IRCC. I could do nothing but watch as my COPR expired. Hoping other valid COPRs have it better. Good luck.

    COPR and coronavirus

Adding to what whyCorona and asdq45, have said, you should consider leaving the minute you can. In my experience(I am a post Mar 18 COPR holder with expired Visa), avoid trying to get an extension (irrespective of when your COPR was issued) at as much as possible and try to leave as soon as you...

    COPR and coronavirus

Same here! Have noted this for almost 2 weeks now. The only responses I've received for my RTT webform was generic and no movement whatsoever!

    COVID-19 and CoPR/PRV extension !

Hello In the same boat, with CoPR expiring on Oct 10. Optimism dwindling with no respense from IRCC on people in our condition. Had raised a webform, since they have shortened the 'Place of Birth' on CoPR, but from what I've read on other dcussison on this forum, I don;t think that should be...

    COPR - February_March_April_2020 - COVID19 Situation - Travel and Landing in Canada

Same boat. CoPR received on March 20, set to expire in October. Sent two webforms, no word yet. As a non US resident, cannot travel either. Hoping IRCC will respond to at least the second webform.

    COPR and coronavirus

I wouldn't take a chance and go and this is not because of the potential monetary loss. A failed landing attempt is likely to be documented and it would spell more trouble than having missed landing prior to the expiry of the CoPR. An expired CoPR should be easier to explain, considering that it...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hello In the same boat and would love to know what how you are handling this. I had tweeted to IRCC asking them what are people in our situation to do if our COPR expires and I got no useful info from them. They basically just reiterated the restrictions for folks in our boat and asked us to...

    COPR and coronavirus

I did sign up for the session. They generally have a generic group session first, post which there is a one on one session. Here they will assess how prepared you are for Canada (employment, housing, education, etc) and will guide you to the settlement agency based on which Province you decide...

How to ask IRCC to waive imminent points loss due to COVID? (Please help - I need these 5 points!)

Hello I empathize with you! I agree with others so I don't have anything more to add than what others have already said, but I really wanted to wish you good luck! Hang in there! Just hope this is a temporary set back, and you'll manage to wing it to Canada soon! Good luck and take care! Regards!
