    Scarborough has it's pros and cons. If you biggest concern is security, you are better off staying away from that area. A better option might be somewhere along the Bloor Street subway line (east or west), or Mississauga.

    Totally agree. We need to be tested using cars with manual transmissions. But then I am sure many will complain that they can't talk on the phone or eat or put makeup on while they drive... I wish I had learned how to drive a standard. :(

    +1 There aren't too many apartments, period. And job wise there isn't much either - but it's not hopeless. It depends what kind of work you are looking for. Plan to have a car if you decide to live up there. And yes - it's part of the GTA - but GTA is quite big. Google map-it.
