    We recently received a similar email requesting the police certificate. It explained that you should reply directly to the email with your File no: "Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title."

    Thanks scylla. I think we did the application in before at least the 10,000 cap was reached (was received before 11 am on Jan. 4th). Having gone through the spousal sponsorship program, we just thought that doing the medical in advance might help facilitate things...but now I see the logic in...

    Ok - thank you or that insight. My concern would be that they may also categorize this as "not following instructions" and just send the application back. We thought that it may help the process, but now I'm thinking otherwise.

    At the time that I applied for permanent residency under spousal/common-law category, you were required to do the medical exam at the very beginning and submit the documentation with your application. I know this isn't the case now with PGP sponsorship - my understanding is that they will ask...
