    March 2025 - Citizenship Applications

That is super weird. What is your case? One person with everything completed except oath and another with BG and Prohibitions pending?

    March 2025 - Citizenship Applications

So, they say that the person with all completed checked can not be separated from the person with security pending? Nonsense.

Did you get an explicit denial of your request? I submitted a Webform requesting application separation, but never received a response. I contacted my MP, and he suggested creating a formal written request for separation and uploading it directly to the file. We did this a few weeks ago. I...

    March 2025 - Citizenship Applications

The average wait time for citizenship security screening is around 2.5 years. If the application is not finalized by that time, the only option is mandamus. Nothing else really helps.

2.5 Years Stuck in the Security

Dec 2023 - Feb 2024 non routine applications are being cleared now. So, you might be close. If not, then mandanus is an option.

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Yes, because it seems like screening takes 2.5 yeas now, because Dec 2023 - Feb 2024 report their BG's cleared now. Therefore Oct 2027 looks like a realistic estimate.

Same here. Security screening is now 2+ years, therefore nothing to expect in near future.

    Separate or group citizenship application?

Each adult applicant (18+) completes and signs their own application. If you are not appointing anyone (lawyer, consultant, or even a family member) to act on your behalf you don't need a representative.

I have Language and Physical Presence completed but Prohibitions pending. I think this usually happens when Background is still in progress.

    Separate or group citizenship application?

We applied as a group. All checks passed for my spouse, but her application is now on hold with the status “Grant awaiting group members.” This is likely because my application was sent for security screening. If these had been two separate applications, she would already be a citizen. Instead...

    May 2025 - Citizenship Applications

My status was Grant Review Ready PM03 and transitioned to Grant Clearance Pending a few months later after Language and Physical Presence were completed. Looks like the PM03 officer done the review and it's waiting on CIT CSIS Screening which is outside the scope or IRCC.

Actually, a lot. BG and Prohibitions pending. Office: Vancouver Citizenship Location: Grant Review Ready PM03 Likely this mean non routine application (have no idea why in my case) and senior officer review required.
