hey all... been lurking and rooting for you all, glad to see new faces come and even gladder when the older ones go :) anyways, just a comment on the interview... since you'll be there, go with your husband to the embassy... you will allowed to accompany him into the waiting room at a minimum...

it's 212 days (i think) in a calendar year that you need to come in under to keep health benefits.. (i've had them cut off before when i lived out of country, not fun!) we were there for just under 7 months and no issues... i had no issues with CTC (the little i get), we just had to fill out...

i was one of the lucky ones who spent my wait with my husband on the island... we actually stayed a few months after we got the visa so the kids could finish up their school term :) i wouldn't have done it any other way :)

My husband got his drivers abstract at the Traffic authority on maxfield... Same week turnaround... One of the few things in Jamaica that was, at the time, free and relatively uncomplicated

Anada.. did you tell them this is a spousal sponsorship? I could be wrong, but that sounds like the process for a skilled worker

really? i'm pretty sure they gave my hubby the shot after the fact.... said that it would lesson the case he got since they caught it pretty early? gosh don't remember now.. .i'll ask him when he gets home... i know that the baby caught it too and he got the shot (earlier than he was supposed to...

hey all... ah adjustment :) my hubby lived in the UK for most of our relationhship... he'd manage to figure that out on his own for the most part, so there wasn't much Canada could throw at him other than driving on the other side of the road :) our struggles were/are more around getting to...

We're all giving congrats on the Jamaica boards, but I know Charlie's helped many all over the world, I've seen her share her knowledge and her wisdom, her congrats and tears with your successes and drawbacks... She's become a wealth of knowledge and always reached out to those who needed...
