@mozeage, sorry for the late reply. In that case, he got PPR from Ottawa, so he wasn't asked to come to local immigration office. I was just mentioning that it is not unusual for local immigration office to be your secondary office. Best wishes!

Just fyi: I have seen GCMS notes of a completed case. The primary office (till the end) was CIO-S and it had two secondary offices, "Vancouver Immigration" and CPC-Ottawa. So it seems the local immigration office is added as secondary office after decision is made.

Yes, you can go to the border using public transport. You will have to walk to the US border to do flag polling. I have done it for my work permit. Do a quick online search to figure out which border is closest to Calgary :)

I was confused about this too. When I saw "forwarded to visa office" in my AOR, I assumed they sent the file to Ottawa. So I sent my police certificates to Ottawa, and because of that my case got delayed by 5 months. I am glad I could prevent someone from making my mistake :) Best wishes!

Ok. The PNP application get processed in CIO-Sydney till Decision Made stage. Only the PPR comes from Ottawa or the visa office you requested. Email CIO regarding your applications but be ready to wait 20-30 days for the reply. They are not as quick as Ottawa in replying to emails. I have seen...

You only get one AOR. If they transfer your file to another visa office, they won't send any notification to you.

I finally got "In Process" status :D Seems like CPC-O is picking up files it got in March.

A friend of mine (whose case is done) got GCMS notes. He applied in Mid Oct 2013 and got PPR in mid May 2014 (in 7 months). According to his notes, all the processing was done in CIO-Sydney and only the PPR came from CPC-O. His file was never sent to Ottawa. So it seems like a "regular" PNP...
