Based on what I am seeing, it leans more towards a random request than a standard process. My wife got a request for finger prints and I didn't. I have been in Canada 1 year longer than her and wasn't asked for it.
I genuinely doubt that someone with AOR April 2025 got LPP completed already. Unless, the person is exempt from doing the test , then yes it could happen. But If that's true, it's not the typical process, so no need to get jealous about it.
My background was passed on march 13th. My wife received a fingerprint request on March 29th. She did the fingerprints at the Commissionaire on April 2nd. Her tracker was updated that Background was passed on May 20th. In her case, that's almost 2 two months processing.
Your citizenship certificate. Depending on which option you selected when you submitted the application you will either get an electronic version (e-certificate) or a physical one in the mail. The physical one will take much longer to get.
After LPP, you will get invited to take the oath ceremony. The timeline on that is anyone's guess at this point. You do not need any guarantor signature in the citizenship process. However, when you are applying for the Canadian passport, a guarantor is required.
1. FP is not requested from every applicant. My wife got the request for FP but I did not.
2. There is not specific timely. You will have to read this forum and others like November and December to get an idea what it could be. But as you can see, it varies between less than 1 month to now...
