I recently just got my study permit for Sept start. I'm going to be moving the first week of July and since I'm in the US, was going to drive. Will I have to register my car there or does anybody know what all needs to be done with driving a car across the border?

I actually called and looked it up. So I'm not ruining someone's future. Summer is a scheduled break, which is why they allow you to work full time just as they do over winter and spring break. You can attend school if you'd like but it's not required.

It's summer break. You aren't required to still go to school over the break. It's a scheduled break for a reason.

But you're allowed to work full time in summer and winter breaks so that's pretty much the same thing? I am planning on registering for classes and paying before I move so I will be classified as a full time student.

Also, I am going to be driving my car since I am only in the States. I won't have to get it registered or anything since I'm only on study permit right?

No, not common law. Conjugal partner sponsorship. Look it up. But I figured out a new way to show proof of funds. My mom has a retirement fund with 80,000 American dollars in it and I called the Los Angeles visa office and they said that would work too. So she is going to be my sponsor.
