I have to extend my work permit which will expire in March 2020! My employer submitted another LMIA application in November 2019, I am waiting for the positive LMIA but the processing time is 120 days! Can I apply to extend my work permit while waiting for the LMIA? What should I do?

thank you! I have already talked to a Canadian lawyer, he said it will depend on how strong my ties are in my home country but I need to disclose everything. he will prepare a legal opinion letter for me to attach to my process explaining the incident.
