Mine took 4 weeks from the change on eCas. It seems they issued the needed documents 3 weeks after making the decision, then took 10 days to send us the passports next day delivery. This was Beijing. good luck

    Thread for December 2010 Applicants

Well, wrote this 6 hours ago. Just got a call from my wife saying the passports are safety back home, visas tucked happily inside. Does that put us at the "landed" category if we will not leave Beijing for 3 months more? But if so, then Quaking Aspen, please put us down. Now we must go through...

    Thread for December 2010 Applicants

Dear All, What a strange trip it has been. I am happy to say I did get a message from the Canadian Embassy in Beijing saying my wife and step daughter have been approved. Funny thing it said "decision made" on eCas March 31st, and here we are, patiently waiting 4 more weeks and still no...

Hi QuakingAspen, and the rest of the "Club" Congratulations for your good news. For us, unfortunately, not yet the good news. I noticed you have us down as "Landed" but so far we have only the cryptic eCAS message 'decision made' that has been there between 1-2 weeks. No contact has been...

Re: Thread for December 2010 Applicants - Hand delivery of passports I am impressed with the system. They asked in a form letter for the passports, preferably mailed. I am not far from the Beijing embassy. I would like to hand deliver. Unable to get a answer from a phone becuase unable to...

    Passport request

Yes it does say it is in queue for processing. No decision has been made. I guess it is like CharlieD10 says - they must just be requesting it early. Thanks to all for the replies

    Passport request

We submitted to Missisauga Dec 22nd. I heard nothing until yesterday Feb 8th, when my wife (applicant) got an email from the Beijing processing office requesting the passports for her and her/our daughter. My question to the forum - why so early in the process to ask for the passports? Is it...

How can I ask about the processing of my application?

Hi , I couriered my application in, arriving Dec 23rd 2010 as stated by the courier compnay. Using my receipt number etc I get no result as of Jan 13th. Just to clarify - does this mean I have to wait a month or so before they open the package and start plugging in data so I CAN get a result...

right of permanent residence fees for daughter of my wife

Can anyone confirm if I am reading this correctly? I need to pay application fees for my wife and her daughter, it is clear. But her daughter is 14, a dependent child. Do I have to pay 490 right of permanent resdient fee for her? I will pay for my wife. I would really like to know, as I do...

Fee question - for Applicant dependent - cannot find example already

Sorry if this is a repeat. I just want to doublecheck to be sure I am reading it right - I am applying for my wife, and her 14 year old daughter. Am I correct in thinking I do not have to pay the RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE for her daughter? That is the extra 490 (just for my wife?). I...
