Yah I was pretty surprised.. we were expecting a call or email and then randomly received a fax with no warning with the approved LMIA! that was a happy surprise!!

Hey @dh5689 I have 2 years. I had an initial LMIA from July 2012-2014 and now I have another 2 years. I wont need that amount of time as I am actually quite close (6 months ish) to having my PR.

I applied for my wp extension 2 days before my wp expired. That way we had confirmation it was received (sent my courier) giving me as much time as possible on implied status. I actually just got my LMIA approved today- 10 weeks after submittal. :)

Agreed with above- the schedule C is very employer focused and should not be filled out by out. In this form the employer has to note specific business plans to transition you into a permanent residency spot and refill your role with local Canadians. Also if your employer applies for another...

@beholder69 Thanks for your response. My company keep telling me that I will have implied status until my LMIA is either accepted or rejected. As you say I am 99.9% sure that should they reject my work permit application first, I will lose implied status. Its coming really close to that 55 days...

Hey, Unless I am mistaken your LMIA application doesn't have anything to do with your PR application. You can apply for PR at any time- even from outside of the country. I have an application in for AINP, CEC PR and an LMIA application in. I may be wrong, or the situation may be different for...
