Got the email today as well. I was excited when I saw the sender, but on reading the subject, I quickly switched back to my mode before the email arrived.

Update: Application received: Jan 8 (this is on Ecas, no AOR yet, and I’m not sure the exact date it changed to “received”, I logged in on Jan 8 and saw it). In process: Jan 26. Could someone help me update my info in the spreadsheet? Thank you.

I believe it’s not an issue to apply with an expired passport (when not specified) so long as you clearly comment that you do not have any plan to travel. 24-48 hrs. Could be more depending on how fast they move your passport out of the printing room.
