Buddy, just hang on, you have not even completed one year since you applied, It took more than 3 months for me from the day I paid RPRF to receive my PPR. I would say just hang in there without any worries. Good luck.

Its a kind of a grey area, you are considered to be in "implied" status when you have applied for an extension of Work Permit before it expire, however, if you dont satisfy the required criteria for WP extension and trying to use this to gain work experience, it will NOT be considered as a valid...

AFAIK, you are not in "implied" status as you have not applied for any Work Permit yet, hence, it is NOT legal for you to work.

If you are desperate to come back to Canada and hold a valid US Visa, you may come to US and then cross the border through a car or bus. COPR is sufficient if you cross the border through car or bus.

Well, I did apply along with dependents but never applied for GCMS until 1 year after my AOR..... I am not sure what "expert" answers you are looking for within 4 months of your application... ;)
