Yes I called them, no new information. They can only see the same status as us they don't have any internal portal where they update collections. Hopefully this week.

Hey, nothing so far. To be honest I don't know what to expect next. An update from BLS or OCI portal, and if so what should it state. If anyone has any info, feel free to chime in. Thanks!

Please do not add such comments without evidence. If they are replying to email communications or calls, that means they are working. 4-8 week is their standard processing time.

Let's hope and wish for the best. As per the CGI, my application would take 40 days from my acknowledgement time to reach back to BLS.

That's terrible. Hope we all get it soon. Do you know what are the next steps involved in this process? So currently it's processing with Consulate General, what update should I expect next?

Yes it's unfortunate. We applied for eVisa on September 20 (Sept 21 in India). We also had our relatives call the eVisa helpdesk (India number) to check about any update and they said it would be processed as it was already in the system. Did not receive any timeline on that.
