    Thanks for this post for letting me know we can use U.S. address as a proof of address for SIN application. So I just applied online for SIN (on August 20, 2020) using my U.S. address. Will update if I got approved or received the SIN.

    Outland applicant. March 16, 2020: Landed in Vancouver airport July 27, 2020: Your application was approved. We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.

    I just (on 7/1/2020) applied for PRTD via email. Fairly easy process. Cost $50 CAD. I'm living in the US. Hopefully will get approved soon. Will post when it's approved.

    Applying PRTD from USA

    I'm trying to enter by land. I'm not a US citizen. The reason I can't wait is because I need to fulfill Canada PR residency. I have plans outside of Canada for a few years so I need to fulfill residency ASAP.
