Might want to consider you will need your Canadian PP to get back into Canada. So either get it here before you go back to the US or you will need to get it in the US before you come back. AK

They do ask yes. That said I am pretty sure you can't travel back to Canada using your citizenship certificate or your original passport once you become a Canadian citizen.. Might want to look into that a bit deeper before you leave...

After the ceremony on March 4, 2022 I received my citizenship certificate by mail about 2.5 weeks later. The agent asked if I was looking to travel ( which I do) as she said it can take anywhere from 2 up to 6 weeks to get the certificate in some cases due to COVID back logs.... All the best...

There was a request to confirm the email for oath ceremony was sent out. I received the email from CIC on Feb 21, for my ceremony on March 4, 2022...
