    SIN No. - Address clarification...

Why is it not safe if you're applying for SIN in person? Service Canada won't send any documents to the address, you get them straight away during your appointment. Unless you meant it for online application only but the post was about an in-person appointment.

    SIN No. - Address clarification...

In short - yes. That's what we did. We booked our Airbnb for the first 3 months and got our SIN done in person on our second day here. If you do it in person, you have to provide an address but no proof of address is required. Also, when you move, you don't need to update your address for SIN...

RFV from Visa exempt country (UK)

As @CNP said above I applied from the UK too. I couldn't find a way to upload a copy of the passport online. I spoke to a couple of other UK applicants and they didn't know how to do it either... I guess it's just one of those IRCC things ;-) You can either send the photos and copies of the...

    FSW WORLDWIDE

A letter is sufficient. Additional docs are only helpful if you cannot provide what IRCC requests (e.g. the company doesn't exist anymore and you can't ask for a letter, then you could provide your employment contract and pay stubs)

    First PR card processing

I think you misunderstood my post :) I got my PR card last month. I was just saying that if someone needs to contact IRCC, they can simply ask them to call back.

    First PR card processing

I rang the number CNP posted above but this process didn't work for me - I tried this but I just kept getting a message that all agents are busy. However, I selected option 1, provided UCI, and after going through a few options I could either wait 30 min for an agent or request a callback. I...

Question on applying to jobs pre-landing

When I applied for a job while I was still in the UK I put on the application my AirBnB Canadian address and information that I have CoPR and I will be landing on April 30 (I applied in late March). I also put my UK phone number. I wasn't trying to BS that I'm already in Canada but it was very...

    First PR card processing

We landed on April 30 and our PR cards were delivered within 18 days.... that being said, the immigration officer at the airport told us it will take 2-3 months and we overheard another officer telling another person that it takes 3-4 months so it seems to be a bit all over the place...

Landing experience - Vancouver (YVR) April 2023

Do you mean once I received PPR? I had my photos and passport copies ready (visa exempt country) and I delivered them in person to VFS in London as I didn't want to risk posting them. Everything after that was really quick (the dates are in my signature). Bear in mind that if you have any...

Receiving first PR card after landing

We've just checked with our neighbor and he actually put the envelopes in the mailroom, so we now have our PR cards :) :) Still, what a bloody mess.

Receiving first PR card after landing

I tried this but I just kept getting a message that all agents are busy. However, I selected option 1, provided UCI, and after going through a few options I could either wait 30 min for an agent or request a callback. I did the latter and they did call me back within 30 min. Both cards were...

Do you need a PR card to start working?

Yes. I was exactly in this situation. Not a problem at all.
