    Common Law Proof

Sounds pretty good to me. Shared bills and a joint bank account are helpful but not required. Lease and mail to common address ought to be sufficient in most cases. The fact that you paid rent a few times helps as well. Make sure the lease in both of your names was signed at least one year...

Urgent need of advice! Honest application, but worried of misrepresentation

Yeah what's done is done. Unless someone digs REALLY deep, altering the document will go unnoticed. The change was probably way too minor for that.

Urgent need of advice! Honest application, but worried of misrepresentation

Yeah you really shouldn't have made those changes on your own. I actually was in a similar situation. I made a small typo on one of the dates of the stat dec. Only noticed a day after I went to the notary public but before sending off the app. Went back to the notary public. He amended the...

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

I tried a week or so after getting my new SIN (after I became aware that you would need a new CRA account). Worked right away. So maybe it takes a while until the new SIN gets updated at the CRA.

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

Yeah to be clear it gave that to me as well. By new account I meant my second account. The old account (my first account) I can't use anymore.

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

I just created a new CRA account with my new SIN without calling them or anything. After a week I received a new activation code. Though I still don't quite understand why this is necessary in the first place.

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

You should receive your letter within the next few weeks. It used to be almost 3 months between DM and Interview. It seems they are inching closer to 2 months now.

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

Wow thanks for that info! I was fully unaware of that. I only log in to see if my tax return has been received/processed, so around March/April. Sure enough it won't let me log in anymore. Sort of annoying that you have to re-register but so be it.

Expect a landing letter in late June/early July at the earliest if the backlog is still a thing.

    RPRF receipt for Landing Interview

In my landing letter it was also mentioned to bring the receipt (inland sponsorship). However the officer didn't even ask to see it. I paid the RPRF before submitting. That there is no detailed breakdown on the receipt is normal. If they were to type in or scan the barcode their system would...

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

Congrats! Ghost update probably means someone opened your file and put your PR card in the production queue. I got my ghost update Tuesday and it was mailed Thursday. I've seen anywhere between 0 and 7 days between ghost update and approval. Once again we Vancouverites will wait the longest...
