[URGENT] Super Visa – Confirmation Authorized Stay & Need for Visitor Record Extension

Dang, it seems I made a mistake. I wasn't aware of the operational instructions. From that link which you provided, the answer is clear: > be advised by IRCC to contact a Canadian Mission abroad before departing for Canada to request a letter confirming ... > Upon presentation of this letter at...

    US B1/B2 Visa Questions

You can't delete it but if you have no appointment and haven't paid for it, you can just ignore it - it won't stop you from making a new and fresh application from scratch. I think it's better to just refile. The officer will most likely just look at the app in front of them only, and it'll...

    I need your Advice

Yep, we agree on this much. Hmm. Does IRCC take this into account though when looking at future applications for either temporary (work, study, etc) or permanent status (PR) ? For the sake of argument, you or I might trust the person less perhaps. But unless there are consequences from IRCC, the...

    WHV IEC Quotas announced 2026

Hmm. Interestingly enough, if we look at France it's already oversubscribed for this year: Quota: 5,661 Spots available: 5,661 Candidates in the pool: 13,046 https://ircc.canada.ca/english/work/iec/selections.asp?country=fr&cat=wh By contrast, neither Australia or the UK have enough...

Interesting Read on an LMIA refusal

Speaking as someone who'd tried and failed to go through this process from the other side - LMIAs are quite difficult, that's not new. This was the case back in 2016 when I first started looking into it, and I'm not at all surprised to learn that it's still the case even today. That being said...

    I need your Advice

So if you look at https://www.canadavisa.com/express-entry-invitations-to-apply-issued.html you can see that there were previous French draws, e.g the 17 Dec 2025 one, where you are very close to meeting the score. Thus I think you're focusing on the wrong language here (though then again...

PR CARD RENEWAL AFTER NEW PASSPORT FROM INDIA WITH CORRECT GIVEN NAME AND SURNAME FIELD

Actually that might be best, in that case IRCC shouldn't have any issues with accepting the original name that matches everything. Unfortunately this unrelated issue is still a risk, even if the name change bit is resolved. But he might get lucky and they decide to mail the new PR card to him...

PR CARD RENEWAL AFTER NEW PASSPORT FROM INDIA WITH CORRECT GIVEN NAME AND SURNAME FIELD

I think the usual response to this is, "you may have to accept that he will lose his PR" The worst case scenario is that the new PR card is granted - but only after the old one is expired, and he has to pick it up in person. Then he tries to file for a PRTD so he can return to Canada to pick...

PR CARD RENEWAL AFTER NEW PASSPORT FROM INDIA WITH CORRECT GIVEN NAME AND SURNAME FIELD

Ok, /technically/ that's fine then. You're allowed to apply and then immediately leave (or leave in a bit, etc). But this is risky, even if the name change wasn't an issue. What sometimes happens is that IRCC decides that you need to come into one of their offices in person for a visit to pick...

PR CARD RENEWAL AFTER NEW PASSPORT FROM INDIA WITH CORRECT GIVEN NAME AND SURNAME FIELD

I'd expect the airline to give him a harder time than immigration, actually - it'll be easy for immigration control to see that he's the same person despite the slight difference in name on the two documents, since the new passport likely has a reference to the old one (which they have a record...

PR CARD RENEWAL AFTER NEW PASSPORT FROM INDIA WITH CORRECT GIVEN NAME AND SURNAME FIELD

Will the PR card expire within the next year? That seems pretty simple then - your father will definitely get his PR card, but it'll still be in the old name. Likewise, all other Canadian docs would then follow the format on the PR card so would also be unchanged. Wonder why they're so strict...

What dates of study permit and PGWP to input for physical calculator for citizenship application. Thanks

I did and it was not an issue. I was able to record the actual dates accurately on the web app and it submitted successfully. My understanding is no, the occasional short job isn't important. No harm in including it, but folks here have left it off without issues.

What dates of study permit and PGWP to input for physical calculator for citizenship application. Thanks

ah right, i just meant - make it a separate entry from your PGWP dates - mark it as foreign worker in the drop down - if you have a place to add notes, note down that you were on maintained status. - include the proof of maintained status as part of the supporting docs when you get to that...

What dates of study permit and PGWP to input for physical calculator for citizenship application. Thanks

That user hasn't been seen in months so you might need to wait for a reply. You might have better luck asking the original OP (who at least checked in the forum earlier today). That said, I stand by my original answer - once you applied for PGWP you're a foreign worker on implied status, so...
