    Where was your passport issued from? If it was issued from Indian Consulate in Chicago, you can get PCC in 2 days. If it was issued from some other place in India or any other Indian Consulate overseas, you will have to wait for 30 days to get clearance and then send your passport for Stage 2...

    Yey!!!! Just received an email from Consulate General of Canada in New York stating that they have mailed my passport with immigrant visa today. I should be receiving it tomorrow. Just glad to say that 80% of the process is now complete.
