Hi, I just got PPR through e-mail from CPP Ottawa. I've been working in Canada so I haven't had a problem waiting (I had to wait a long time). What happens next now that I have emailed them my US passport picture page and work permit page?

I'm still waiting for my PPR as well. Although I've been here in Canada on a work permit since October. Wonder if we have the same visa officer. Also they initially sent my application to London on accident then had to forward it to Buffalo.

Nafta is for US and Mexican citizens looking to work in Canada. They do not need an LMO if they fall under the professions listed (there are a lot of professions). I would post the links with more info but I'm not on my home pc now...if you can't find it on google or the cic website I'll post...

I came to pearson airport today and was able to get a 3 year nafta work permit. I did not need an LMO. All I had to do was show my job offer and mine was an intra company transfer so it was even easier.
