I submitted my startup PR online 2 weeks ago, any idea when I will get the biometric invitation letter?
You will receive biometric collection letter when you receive AOR. As of right now, only people applied on or before May 2020 have received AOR. You still have a long way to go.

It is so unfortunate. I want to take the biometric for PR then apply for work permit since the PR biometric can be used for WP, but not vice versa. and It is difficult to do the biometric twice since I have to go abroad to do that (with my family). Any Idea if the WP biometric can be used for PR because of covid situation?

Yes the biometric is valid for 10 years for all type of visa applications. If you apply for work permit now, you will do biometric within a few days and then you won't have to do it for PR.

Permanent residence to temporary residence
  • Permanent residence applicants are required to enrol their biometrics in support of every application (even if the applicant has valid biometrics enrolled under the temporary resident stream). When foreign nationals have provided their biometrics in support of a permanent residence application, asylum claim or overseas refugee resettlement application, as long as the application or claim is still open, they are not required to provide new biometrics in support of a

Based on historical trends, it should happen anytime soon. But clearly there is some obvious delays as we haven't seen any movement on SUV files since Dec 2021. Looks like that 1-2 ppl who were working on SUV files are reassigned or just on leave.

For our context, please update when did you send your application and what's the AOR and other timelines like ADR?
My timeline is as below, I applied from Vietnam

AOR: Jan 2020
Biometric: Feb 2020
ADR: From Apr 2021 - Sep 2021 (Few times)
Health check request: Dec 2021
Health check Passed: Jan 2022
PPR: Waiting
COPR: Dreaming

I just heard that processing time was only 5 months back in 2018 lol. I don't understand how can they be too slow now even with covid. 20 months without AOR??!!

I just read about someone on self employed thread that applied April 2020 with AOR Jan 2021… The application seems to be moving….see timeline below…. Do we have anyone to give same hope to SUV applicants since our applications are processed almost same way?

My timeline for Self-employed paper based is:

2020-04-25 Courier sent to CIO Sydney
2021-01-20 Temporary AOR
2022-02-15 Application Number/UCI received
2022-02-15 ADR for birth certificates of whole family only
2022-03-05 Submitted birth certificates of all family members

On GCKey profile says 74% Complete
2020-05-21 Application received
2022-10-21 Estimated completion date

Guys, today I received a message on my account for ADR (Additional Document Request).

Now, I'm not sure if it is because of the collective action initiated by @Rakap - because I had also written to my MP about the absurd processing times last week.

I hope it is because of the collective action we took - so that it can be good news for everyone.

Here are my details

Applicant sent: 14th April 2020
Application received: 17th April 2020
Temp AOR: 15th Jan 2021
Medical passed: 28th October 2021 (exemption -> used existing medical taken a few years ago)
Permanent AOR: 21st April 2021

ADR: 8th March 2022
