Good morning everyone!

I've heard and read mixed things about this. When submitting evidence (rent receipts, hospital bills, etc.) for spousal PR, do you think it's best to submit originals or scanned versions?

Some people told me originals are best, but I worry about being rejected and not getting them back to re-apply. Please share your experience :)

Thank you!

Originals unless they specifically require, and this si QUITE uncommon - I think with exception of police clearances. (The other cases I'm aware of, it's often or usually a document from some public authority where you submit an extract from the registrar, not the single only physical original - eg divorce certificate from Russian civil registry is an extract anyway).

Also, IRCC says - you will not get them back. If you might ever need origional - you will not get it back.

So don/t. Do not. Unless told to do so, explicitly.
