Do you think, there be delay now for Ukraine refugee crisis?

Yes, unfortunately. They are already prioritizing applications from Ukraine and for Ukrainian people already in Canada as temp residents. IRCC announced yesterday via their twitter account

So their priority is Ukraine, Afghanistan, and 2021 applicants.

Seen so many 2021 applicants with citizenship and passport in hand after 8 months. Yet i'm waiting here since 2019. I wonder who's bright idea it was at IRCC, that said "let's work on the NEWER applications, and work on the older applications later on"

I know somebody who applied in September 2021, and they have received their OATH email/instructions.............5 months..............There is no excuse for this. What could the possible reason be for this ???

Covid..............Afghanistan........Truckers..........Ukraine........... There will always be a world event , this is not an excuse. NOW.............I understand the situation in those countries is important................But during this whole last few years crisis , it's still a fact that NEW applications are being prioritized for some reason.

Preaching to the choir.... we are all tired, frustrated and upset...

We will actually be reaching a point soon over the next few months where the inventory will actually start dropping all on its own. The number of new permanent residents dropped significantly from March 2020 until summer 2021.... so that means there will eventually be a slump in the amount of people who are admissible for citizenship (given residency requirements), and so there will be fewer newer applications .... so, yey for us?? =/

Anyone of you got a status update like this: There was no change even yesterday and today they have two changes,
one is showing as 15 Feb - Scheduled for Citizenship oath on 15th Feb!?? and then another status update is on 2nd March - Citizenship oath activity status updated.

I didn't receive any email for the Citizenship oath earlier or now.

Updated March 2nd for when? Usually they sent invitation a week before the oath date. The first update seems to be cancelled in your case.

Hello, I live in Montreal, and I submitted my Citizenship application on October 2019, and finaly passed my tes citizenship test on June 29 2021, since then I haven't heard back! How much time will it take to take my oath? any experience when I might finaly have it? Thanks

I applied Oct 2019 and did not even got Test invitation, Did everything else on the tracker still in Progress?

there is no queue, no point in reaching out to MPs. I tried my best. IRCC works based on their own world.

fortunately, I completed my oath on 18th Feb, after waiting for almost 9 months for oath as I got decision made in May-2021.

IRCC new portal Status Updated on 19th FEB to :
Your citizenship application status: Closed
Reason: We have approved your application to become a Canadian citizen.

Congratulations!
You are now a Canadian citizen. Welcome to the Canadian family!


Just waiting to get the Citizenship Certificate, and hoping to get it by next week.

I finally received a reply to the 2nd webform i sent to try and clarify why the hell I am being request to produce travel records to a place I have never been too. The agent responded the following:
"We verified the information you provided and it appears that an IRCC agent already responded to your enquiry on February 16, 2022. "

That Feb 16 email was actually the automated email generated when you submit a webform, which obviously does not answer any of my questions.

No further information was provided.

Hello, I am in the same boat. However, I passed my exam on April 19, 2021, since then I have heard nothing.... It is frustrating.
