I called the IRCC call center yesterday and the agent said that my certificate has been printed but not mailed, any idea how long it takes in the mailing process? They have delays steps by step, unbelievable...My oath was taken on 10 Dec in Ottawa by an agent with initials MG.

Isn't there an option to download digital citizenship e-certificate now? I see that link in ircc portal as well.

Does anyone know why there is a problem mailing out the certificates? If we know the problem may be we can suggest them a solution. Like arranging our own Fedex or UPS to do the pickup if the problem is with Canadapost and Puralator.

I think it is in pilot stage, because Passport Canada only accepts originals. I guess once it is ready you may see the requirement on Passport Canada forms.

I totally agree. It would be better if somebody go there one day, a person who lives close to the office to check if the office is open. Then, we can all go there the next day. I am sure that is the only way. Even if they don't finish them right away, we should get a promise from them. These are our rights to get the service for what we have paid.

Hello Ottawans, anyone know what is happening with the oath invitations for Ottawa applicants - I have been waiting for four months now since I passed my test...... May 2020 applicant. Thanks.

I’m in. Done w ceremony on December 15th and online says oath ceremony sitll in process and of course no certificate. It’s absolutely absurd. The guy who was handling the ceremony was young with Curley hair. It’s been a disaster just to get a certificate. I’ll be in to go to the office and demand an answer Liz

Which passport office you went?

I submitted my application at a local ServiceCanada office. They forwarded the application to Passports Canada in Whitby.

I didn't, but I asked if we can come pick it up, and said no , and mailing is the only option once the office re-opens. They said offices are closed because of the protest.
