This depends on many factors like where you planning to live, number of dependents (either coming with you or back home), groceries, eating out, entertainment etc.
I'm thinking of bringing about $8500 with me (cash or forex card not decided). I don't have a job in place yet so this should help with 2/3 months of expenses in Ontario (not sure which city to live in yet). I'm in tech so probably Toronto, Kitchener, Ottawa.
What about you? What are your plans?
Maybe others can also pitch in so we all can make an informed decision.

I am SINP. So will go to Sask. I will carry some cash with me and rest bank transfer.

I’ve also lived in USA and Australia. Traveled to 20+ countries.
Not sure if this is delaying the security check. (the only thing that is pending).

I guess your VO has a more significant impact on your processing times than travel history.

It’s the VO that’s delaying I guess.

I think USA included in the history is an advantage as well

My VO is in Sydney NS as per my last call.. but not sure which VO is processing my application now.
