I see. Thank you for the insight. My older one would most likely not make it if I try this route. I’ll probably just let them finish their post-secondary studies and maybe down the line, with enough experience they can go to Canada through FSW or other options without me being a sponsor. I just wanted to see if there are similar cases like me, and if I can get them here through sponsorship if possible.

I’ve applied Tourist Visas for other counties with my old passport, and it wasn’t an easy process. I think being a PR of Canada at the time helped greatly. I know if they apply for a TRV here in Canada, the outcome of them being declined is high especially they’re not working yet making their strong ties to their home country weak.
Another option if they ever want to immigrate to Canada is for them to do post-graduate studies in Canada. They can study, apply for a work permit and possibly gain PR through Express Entry or PNP programs. The H&C is risky not just because of the high chance of refusal but your children would be visitors so would not be able to work or attend school. They always can apply for a visitor visa to come to visit you showing ties through school registration, any travel history, funds, ties with their mother. You never know if they will be approved or not. All the best.

Another possible option once they are older is the study permit route. It's expensive and you'll want to make sure the studies they plan to pursue make sense in light of their previous education and any work experience. You'd also want to pick good schools. This won't allow you to sponsor them for PR but it should help them to qualify for PR independently through a program like FSW. Definitely go for university degrees vs. diplomas. A good plan would be to complete a bachelor in the home country and then come here for a master's.

Thank you, will look into this path closely. My older has a about a year and half of post-secondary schooling left, this should be enough time to look into this and process it if ever.

Thank you. I live close to a university, and I know few people who are international students from my home country. Tuition is high, but that’s okay. Anything for them. It’s my fault anyways why we’re in this situation. Everyone’s insight have been helpful.
