You need to have 13K in savings. You must show a bank balance that has at least 13K in it and you must maintain that balance while you apply for PR.
At what stage in the process would I need to show I have 13k in savings? Because that's gonna take time to save up.

Were you paid a salary for the theatre company acting?
Is that the only way it would qualify under A?

You would need to have the 13K saved up to apply. You pretty much need that up front at the time you submit your application.

Work experience only counts if it was paid. If you were in a theatre production but it was unpaid, it's not counted as work experience.

So at the time I submit my profile with my IELTS and ECA, I need the 13k, just to clarify?

Technically not then. Once you are selected (receive ITA) and submit your full application, you msut have the money.

I am currently in the process of obtaining my ECAs and IELTS.

"For funds, you must show the 13K in your bank account over a number of months."

So basically I just have to show that I've made 13k over a number of months, rather than show that I have 13k in my pocket/savings?

B and C are my NOC upon deeper research, but I might also qualify under A as I've acted for theatre companies before?
You show your bank statements over a number of months with $13k at the time of application. It is not your earnings but savings. If you have loans, credit card debt then it must be document. NOC C is not eligible for EE. You need employment letters to prove your NOC. For EE, you need one year of continuous skilled work experience in NOC A, B or 0.

What would qualify as an employment letter and is that the only form of proof I can use? My theater work was paid and I've been doing it since 2016.

And by show my bank statement over a number of months, do you mean I have to show them more than once through the process, or I show them say my six month banking history only once, with my 13k savings?

Also do you have a recommendation of when I should submit my application? My goal is to be in Canada by December of this year, so I need to time this carefully so I can have the 13k saved up, and hopefully be deep in the process by December. My back up plan is to apply for work and secure a job offer from an LMIA approved place so I can get a work permit to be able to migrate by December.

Thank you by the way.

It's unrealistic be approved for PR by December and be able to move here through PR by then. Processing times for many programs are well over a year right now and draws are on hold for several programs. Additionally, your points are quite low so even if you entered the pools now, selection anytime soon is unlikely.

If you want move to Canada by December, realistically your only options are a study permit (which will require $25,000 in savings to fund your tuition and living expenses) or to secure a job offer in Canada and qualify for a work permit.

I recalculated my score based on the learned information, and my score would hypothetically be 441. Thank you for the information about processing times though, I will keep that in mind.

Unfortunately that's still too low for many programs, including FSW/Express Entry and OINP. Basically, to have PR and be allowed to move to Canada by December, you would have needed to have been selected last year and already be deep into the process by now.

For December to be feasible, the realistic options are either the study permit or closed work permit.

Yeah, my plan right now is to secure a job for a work permit while taking my time building up my PR application. I'm not planning to rely on PR in order to move in December.

Are you a US citizen? If so look at the SWAP program through IEC for a working holiday visa. US citizens can only apply through a registered organization. There is a quota so you may not be selected. This isn’t PR but a temporary visa.

Makes sense. Start applying now and be prepared to apply for lots of openings without hearing anything back.

Be careful of scams. Apply directly through employer websites. If anything looks too good to be true, it probably is. If someone asks you for money, then it's a scam. Offering to pay for your flight / accommodations / food is another sign of a scam.

Do you have any site recommendations? At the moment, I'm looking through jobbank.gc.ca since it allows me to filter for foreign workers and see who has an LMIA.
