Quarantine mandatory?

hello everyone, my parents are visiting here in Ontario Canada to on January 30th as tourists. is the quarantine for 14days mandatory? or only needs to be done when they were randomly tested at the airport upon arrival. if it is mandatory do we have to choose the accredited hotels for quarantine near the Toronto Pearson airport or any hotels will do like near our place in Oshawa? your answers are highly appreciated. thank you!

When they were randomly tested at the airport upon arrival, they will be given a handout instruction what they need to do in the quarantine until they receive a negative result. AFAIK, there are no accredited hotels.

thank you for answering! by the way, if they were not randomly selected upon arrival at the airport do we still need to have them quarantined for 14days? or they can just go to our place directly and self quarantine on a separate room?

Travelers from the US can skip the quarantine.
